boasted in conference that temple recommend holding members are at an all time high? Really? In the most Mormon saturated area in the world (Utah) with (soon to be) 19 profit$ centers (temples), why are the domestic violence stats so ugly? You would think with so many recommend holders in Utah the stats wouldn't be so bad. Too bad religion isn't part of the survey because it should be.

It's not that shocking when you take into account the high rate of depression and opioid addiction in Utah.

It's interesting the article singles out smokers and drinkers as having the highest rates of domestic abuse in Utah. (hint: rules out active TBM's right there.) When the reality of domestic abuse is it crosses all socio-economic levels in society. And that encompasses Mormonism.

I knew some very active TBM's who were in violent domestic abuse living circumstances they had to flee from, when I was a practicing TBM.

Glossing over that aspect of Mormon spousal abuse is undeniably a Mormon characteristic. They're quick to cover up the bad acts of the male priesthood leaders in their communities. Pointing fingers outside is more apropos for them.
