Yes,several decades ago in Manti a group of zealous Mormons that eventually split off and founded their own polygamous church would regularly disrupt sacrament meetings to the point that the cops had to be called on several occasions.

Would that be the TLC Group?

We had a young convert that was assigned her first talk in our ward. She was very nervous, but had a good mentor to make sure that she followed the rather mindless "guidelines" of mormon sacrament talks.

As she was speaking, a somewhat scruffy looking character walked into the chapel. He approached the podium at the floor level. She stopped talking as he held up a bible and said "Get to know the real Jesus." He laid the bible on the podium and walked out.

The sister not knowing what to do and getting no help from a stunned bishop decided to end her talk.

At a meeting house in Odenton, MD where I used to attend. I believe I was a "member" for about a year or two.
I believe that it was during Ward Conference as the entire stake presidency was there. So my upstairs neighbour who was "inactive" (while only her son was) came in with her pajamas and bathrobe on and said something along the lines of, "See Bishop, I came to church. But you don't care about me! You just don't care!" She kept rambling on while the bishop escorted her out.
The entire chapel was silent until she was out of earshot, and the stake president said, "Let's keep her in our prayers" and then gets back to his talk.

The doofus stake president draws more attention to the lady by making a comment saying we all need to "help" her by praying.

A relative was the bishop of the singles ward, and he said that a young man--a stranger--walked up to the podium during testimony meeting. He was unshaven, and wearing rumpled clothes, so he stood out. He began with a quiet voice, saying that he believed in Christ and in Love, and he quoted the Bible--so everyone thought he was just bearing his testimony. He said that everyone there deserved the Truth, and that the "Truth will set you free," and began his tirade. He was able to say quite a bit--that the church was a cult, and that everyone was being lied to, etc-- before the men on the stand, and some from the audience "escorted him out."

The next week, it was our testimony meeting, in our ward, a few blocks away from the singles ward. I spotted a rumpled-looking young man, sitting to the side, waiting with the others to go to the stand to bear their testimonies. I was kind of prepared. Sure enough, the same thing happened. Those priesthood holders were pretty quick to overpower the offender, and his feet weren't even touching the ground, when he was being escorted out. He kept yelling, though, all the way out: "Lies! It's a cult! They just want your money!"

Yeah, the bishop said something about the poor young man being "insane", and bore a brief testimony about how the church helps others, and the meeting continued as though nothing had happened.

I remember as a youth when I was sitting in the chapel during fast and testimony meeting. Two young men went up to the podium as if to share their testimony. One had a bible in his hand and they began to preach to us that we were not Christians because we did not have a cross displayed in our building. A member of the bishopric stood up and interrupted the young men by saying we carry the cross in our hearts. Then he escorted them out of the building through a side door. As a kid I was quite shocked by the experience.

To me this is rude. If it happens in one place, others get the same idea, then it becomes a fad, it’ll be happening all over, not just church meetings
It can turn to annoying to dangerous, if some nut job gets an idea.
It can become violent, if gets out of hand, like these church and synagogue burnings going on all.

Openly speaking out in a cult meeting, where the cult is responsible for the deaths of (at least) many thousands, shames "members" into lives wracked with guilt needlessly, takes their money to enrich the leaders, lies about its actions and history, keeps its corporate finances secret, breaks up families...

Who gives a f*ck if it's "rude!"

The Washington DC temple was overtaken by a man back in 1986 IIRC. Police were called and a standoff ensued. I remember that there was discussion about whether it would have to be rededicated or not. I don't remember the outcome of that.

The guy was shot but not killed. A trial was held and he tried to have the “Angel Moroni” subpoenaed as a witness.

How about, "Has an LDS church meeting ever been trashed?

I think we came close, in the late 50s and early 60s, on Tuesday nights...

It has likely happened more often than not, owing to the lay leaders brushing incidents under the carpet as though it were nothing, then proceeding with the meeting as usual.

I knew of one time some guy got up during testimony meeting and proceeded to tell the bishop off, and basically condemning the church. After the initial shock wore off of what he was doing, he was escorted out of the building.

My ex-wife told me a story of what happened to her branch in Ayacucho, Peru. During the 70's and 80's Peru was embroiled in a civil war. During a sacrament meeting, terrorists, armed with AK-47's, burst into the chapel. They accused the LDS Church of being imperialist and a puppet of the CIA. They threatened the members that if they met again in the chapel they would blow it up and kill some of the members.

After that incident, the Stake President told the branch to quietly have church meetings in members homes until things calmed down.

Let's bring streaking back. The best way to disrupt a church meeting is to run naked through one.

It was one of the best MORmON meetings that I have ever been too.

An attractive young woman from the ward went off to school as she had gotten older. Apparently a non MORmON school. She met a very intelligent well spoken well educated NON member young man. They were fond of each other. She brought him home for the holidays. They end up in the ward FAT meeting. After listening for awhile, he wants to participate too. He gets up to very politely inform the entire ward that they are subject to mass delusion, confirmation bias, etc. that there is no rational way they can have actual knowledge of the things that they are stating. It seems that he had never before seen such a crazy thing. He appeared to be shocked to a certain extent. Even so, he then felt compelled to respond in a rational and assertive way to the insanity of the entire MORmON group meeting. He was very solid and clinical, as in NOT religious at all, in his approach. He was assertive, confident, authoritative, genuinely concerned and not condescending. VERY VERY impressive !!!!! Perhaps a psychology major ? The Bishop did NOT interrupt him either, which was an all around good move.

I was lucky to have ever seen such a thing. Who ever he was, he was a pretty solid person/ character. I was impressed that day, and I still am. I wish him well.

Such a contrast to disgusting MORmON ASSpostHOLES like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFkU3glVbWk

who are willing to tell ANY LIES to elevate and serve them selves and to keep the sheep of the MORmON flock in check.

They ALWAYS crash... and usually burn, but they NEVER LEARN.

If (your idea of) "crashing" is WAKING UP [literally], YAWNING, and saying, 'are we finally there yet', 'when will we get out of this place’, or 'this SHIfT can't be true', or anything like that?

No. But WHAT'S WRONG WITH A LITTLE (or big) FUN?

'Crashing' is being honest.
Speaking up & Leaking up.
Looking up and Linking up.
Waking up and Baking up.
Stirring up & ACTING up.

Let's crash this joint and smoke it. These bloakes can't toke it, or take it, just FUnCK it and FAKE it. You've got to shake it (Don't want pre in your pants).
