I saw a LDS Church TV spot awhile ago. Showed a successful man with his wife and child. What is the Church trying to say with this?

"Hey, we're Mormons. If you want to have a wife/husband and be a success in life, you gotta be one of us!"

That is essential, what the Church is saying. Now, the Church also has a "hidden" message:

"Hey, do you like having a husband/wife and children? Want to continue this forever? Then you have to become one of us."

To the Mormon mind, THAT is the message. But to the Non-mormon, that message is NEVER received, because non-mormons DO NOT KNOW that Mormonism teaches eternal families.

Also, in most cultures of the world, the Far East, much of Africa and India, people believe they will be with their families for eternity. Even a child murderer, will have to "be" with their ancestors. This is not based upon any Temple Sealing. They believe when they die, they go to their ancestors. That is why Asian people often give flowers and drink to their dead ancestors, and pray to them; because those are the people who will "judge" you when you are dead. You're gonna "be" with them a long time, so you have to make them as happy as possible while you can.

For some reason, the Mormon leaders "think" that in order to have a successful marriage, business, career, YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MORMON. Otherwise, your children will born deformed, no woman will want to marry you, nobody will buy your products, and your boss will hate you and never promote you above cutter of wood and drawer of water. In other words, being an Active Mormon assures you a "Good Life" and to get a "Good Life" here and now, you HAvE to be an Active Temple Mormon.

But reality isn't like that!

One can have a beautiful wife, successful husband, healthy well-behaved children, successful business or career, without being an Active Temple Mormon. Yes....it is actually POSSIBLE!!!

So, when the Church "offers" the world "happy families" if they become Active Temple Mormons, the Church needs to realize, that MOST of the world already consists of happy families.

I think it makes it a lot more challenging to have a happy family when the Mormon church sucks away so much time and money from church members.

To me, their emphasis on families is just P.R.

Most successful people will Google before calling the number on the screen. They might even end up here.
