I'm visiting family in a small mountain-West town for the weekend. As I drove to the gas station for a cup o' joe and to top off the gas tank, I noticed a beam of light, sort of but not directly over my head, shining down into the valley.

There happens to be a temple in this little town, and the light was near to it. Was it a sign? Did the little sunbeam of light rest upon the holy temple walls?

No. A short distance from those hallowed halls lies a golf course, and it was upon the sacred fairways, aprons and greens the light fell. (The rough isn't sacred.)

Crepuscular rays are not sacred, but nice to look at.

The rays remind me of the heaven myth.
