Religious support for the needy - compare this to Mormonism

I'm just offering this as a data point on how other churches and religions often handle the concept of charity and support of the needy. When I compare this against my own experience and knowledge of the Mormon church.... well there is no comparison really....

Mormonism is all talk about charity and helping the needy, meanwhile they build their investment portfolio and real estate holdings in secret.

Some points from the article that I thought were interesting:

- KCM spent $3.25m on Programs providing services free of charge to the community.

- Improved efficiencies to invest an outstanding 0.89 cents of every dollar.

- Financial accountability and transparency is important to us.... The organization’s financial statements are available to the public and can be found online at www.ktcm.org.

Mr. Bill Gates 4.5 billion in one year.
