A gilded cage is still a cage...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6056245/Tom-Cruises-son-Connor-moved-Scientologys-elite-Sandcastle-retreat.html

The resort-style complex was recently updated to include 52 residential rooms, and 84 'auditing' rooms where Scientologists notoriously undergo personal questioning to pinpoint 'areas of spiritual distress'
The exterior features decking with incredible water views, a pool and hot tub, a rooftop garden, and even a modest tiki-style bar
It is just a 10-minute walk from the Flag Service Organization, known as the Church's 'spiritual headquarters'

I think I read somewhere (some time back--meaning: more than ten years ago) that Mormons have VIP resorts, too--specifically (I think I remember!) hunting lodges.

Am I remembering correctly?

Apparently more than one

see this link:
https://www.deseretnews.com/article/770568/Tending-the-flock.html

This one near Elberta, UT
"Only a few pheasant and goose-hunting permits are sold each year, with hunting aficionados paying as much as $1,500 for the opportunity to hunt what is fast becoming an exclusive "club" for "members only.""

and then this one:
"The church owns thousands of acres of farm and ranch land throughout the West, including the Deseret Land and Livestock Co., a private big-game hunting preserve scattered over 200,000 acres in northern Utah. Hunters from around the country vie for a limited number of elk and moose permits there that cost as much as $8,500 each."

Then there are all of these:

Here are the cleaning procedures for one of the church owned camps, Bear Creek near Boone, Iowa:

With all those requirements, who would want to stay there? It would take the entire weekend to clean up per their instructions!
