It's been a very long while since I posted to the board here, but I thought some might be interest in this.

I went down to my local comic book shop yesterday to pick up my weekly comics and the owner there told me to check out the Spider-man comic book. Apparently, the artist of the comic (an exmormon) put a CES Letter logo into one of the frames of the comic book & it caused such a stir that they've contacted all the comic book shops and others and asked them to return the issue to Marvel Comics to have replacements issued without a CES Letter logo shown.

LOL. I looked online and sure enough:

How DARE you say this. Of COURSE the Church is worried about
world hunger and clean drinking water. Didn't they just tell
people in Africa to pay their tithing? That's what leads to
prosperity which eliminates world hunger and provides clean
drinking water. So the Church is working hard to get members in
third-world countries to pay their tithing. How altruistic of
them!

Surely wouldn't do for the faithful (formerly known as Mormons) to wonder what the CES letter might be.

Most publicity the letter could ever get.

I would think that an original copy of the un-redacted version of
the comic would be worth a heck of a lot of $.

Way to get it back out there!
