Southern Utah PostMormon Association will be meeting on Sunday, October 14th, at 2:00 PM at 195 W 900 S (Holiday Square) just off Bluff Street and directly south of the Red Lion Inn (west side of the street). St. George, Utah
Our speaker will be Bill Reel, founder of Mormon Discussion Inc. and host of podcasts Radio Free Mormon, Mormon Awakenings and Mormon Discussion. Bill works to help folks of Mormon heritage navigate their faith transitions.
His topic will be "Moroni's Gold Plates: Were They Real?" One of Mormonism's truth claims hinges on whether there were real metal plates, golden in color, written upon by ancient Americans who came from the Holy Land. We will discuss what witnesses said about the plates and whether claims that Joseph Smith fabricated the plates have any evidence.
As usual, we will finish up with a question-answer period, followed by refreshments and fellowship. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
