Be careful, if the ward elders hear you say "Mormon" they have orders to wash your mouth with soap. And as punishment you have to clean all the meeting house toilets!

No one says you have to do anything. Being LDS is voluntary, too, did you know?
Why do you let Nelson have so much power over your mood?
Look at what the Pope told ALL Catholics to do EVERY DAY! Cuz he says the devil is to blame for sexual abuses.
You really think people give a damn anyway about some 2 bit religion that’s 1% of the population (at best, actives)? Mormon will never have the clout Catholics do and moreover, never have a governor suing them or multiple class actions lawsuits.
You can simply not do what Nelson says or do what he says or whatever. But to post Mormon x 10 and whatnot is just wasting precious time. Anyone terminally ill in your life? Have you considered getting a future?
Ouch !!!! Yes, pleaZZZZ do, Take a deep breath. You sound like you are exasperated !! I have a life. I just don't "kiss up" to Mormonism like others who are strict active Mormons do. I surely didn't mean to 'ruffle your feathers' !

I Googled: What did the pope tell all Catholics to do every day, and I didn't see any answers in the returns.
What DID the pope tell all Catholics to do every day?

I'm pretty sure this is not what Concrete Zipper had in mind when he wrote his new thread: ***Please be kind to each other*** --which is on the first page.
You might rethink the words you use in your posts going forward, as well as the tone of those words, because kindness is going to be one of the criteria we will be increasingly paying attention to.
I think part of the reason so much emotion is involved with stupid things like this is that, so many of our families believe that everything that pops in the Nelson's mind comes directly from God.
These same family members will then use the adherence to or abstinence from such commands as open rebellion against the church, God and all that is good.
The attitude of "its all voluntary" is an excellent attitude to have, which is why the church works so hard to make sure pfkam don't feel that the choices are voluntary, they are compulsory. If the church actually valued choice and if members actually believed they had a choice, there wouldn't be a church.
