On one of the earlier threads, someone quoted a Facebook post from a mormon incensed by the "Book of Mormon":
The original text: "Normally I would Ignore this But an EX-Gay Mormon writing this trash has in 2 Min. on Network T.V. turned Millions of viewers into Thinking members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints (Mormons) into a bunch of loonies that should be put in straight jackets."
What this text implies is that an ex-gay (used to be gay, but not any more) mormon wrote some trash that was featured on Network TV for two minutes. That two minute exposure was enough to turn millions of viewers into Thinking Members™ of the Church; and then to turn those Thinking Members into a bunch of loonies.
Wow: Millions of non-mormons turned into Thinking Members and then into loonies within the space of two minutes. I'm confused.
What they meant to say: Normally I would ignore decadent pop culture like this, but this trash was written by an ex-mormon who is also gay! This writer is two-times evil!
"And to think that the lamestream media featured such trash for all of two minutes on Network TV! That two minutes was enough to turn thinking members (Yes! We do think, honest!), enough to turn thinking members of the mormon cult into a bunch of loonies in the eyes of millions of viewers.
"We should all be put in straight jackets.
"And we should be forbidden to post on social media sites without first hiring an editor who will take our tortured ramblings and turn them into coherent English."
I think I've got that right. Although I may have taken some liberties ...
