If TSCC comes to a screeching halt, will so our recovery from Mormonism?

Will it be a cause celebre' or a time to mourn its passage?

Will our lives and lives of our loved ones be significantly different if there is no Mormon church left to disparage?

Hint: Can't imagine a time without RfM. :D

After all the predictions of the upcoming demise over the years I have spent visiting the nice ex-Mo people here, I doubt "Church-wide-folding" will happen in my lifetime, your lifetime or the lifetime of today's newborn.

Things will continue to get worse for those attending and participating --- but I suspect closure is not imminent. I know we all want to be hopeful. Somehow, TSCC continues to defy common sense.

Unless a heckuva lot of shelves break suddenly. We can hope.

Personally, I am recovered (https://www.exmormon.org/Am-I-recovered.pdf). I am still working on a cure for my family, though.

There would be aftershocks to deal with. Many a TBM with pioneer ancestry will be here trying to cope.

I don't miss canned laughter either. But I miss some of that old time comedy. Lucille Ball, Red Skelton, All in the Family ....

Interestingly I heard that in England only 3% of the population is actually attending church on any given Sunday. The Evangelical pastors are calling it a post Christian Nation now. This is a new thing that we haven't seen before. And the Evangelicals are up in arms as to what to do about the situation, they have this mandate to preach the news to every heathen creature. But what's to preach when Everyone already knows it and isn't interested? They are calling it the fall of Europe.

Death. And taxes.

I'd like to believe if the Mormon cult folds, all of us and our families will be cured!

Jar lids will still be too tight Amyjo, and I will still wake up wondering where the largest bell on the earth is. It is the demise of Google that will surprise even God. Not any fraud that hijacked His son's name, will and itinerary.

Without TMC, we would all live - and die - happily ever after...

We would come together in real life and stop this long distance junk!

islam, actually worse than MORmONISM

MORmONISM is actually modeled after islam to a large extent, where MORmONISM is not trying to take over being the Lords chosen people.

I don't even think it's the worst or even close to the worst. It just happens to be the one that I was born into and know the best.

I was actually beyond kvetching many, many years ago. I just find Mormonism to be a fascinating subject and point of entry for exploring the world of human gullibility and the mindset of the "leaders" and scammers who exploit that gullibility.

Even in the unlikely event that it suddenly implodes and ceases to be a thing in the present world. Its history will still be interesting to me. The implosion will also be a worthy subject to examine.

I watched a ID program on Scientology the other day.

It is ten times worse than Mormonism. The man running that place is a malignant narcissist, sociopath, and total nutcase.

No shortage of frauds and scams. Government is the biggest.

I think if it ended, the members wouldn't know what to do with themselves. We've already heard about members and their inability to cope with the changes Rusty has made. I think when the meetings officially reduce to the two hour block, we'll hear more amusing tales of members-in-shock.
