Melvin died today, and still has people who believe that he was left money by Howard Hughes.

I remember that somehow Melvin got into the COB and left a copy of this will.

But it doesn't make sense that he would just drop it off at a desk at the church office building. You'd think he would at least have the sense to try to meet with someone who would be in a position to make a decision.

Maybe he was hoping that the LSD Church, with a possible 1/16th stake in it would seek on its own to authenticate the will, automatically getting Dummar's portion authenticated at the same time.

Seems pretty far-fetched in any case. Sounds like he was possibly doing a Hoffmanesque twist on a Joseph Smith number.

There is a beer named Melvin (might be an IPA).
Had a few earlier this past summer - decent.
I almost got one again yesterday, but didn't.

I lived today, and still don't have people who believe that I was left money by Melvin, or Moe Howard, Howard Hughes, or Hugh Hefner. These people!

I remember that somehow I got into the world and left a copy of my will... and many of my 'won'ts'. Right, world?

"Melvin and Howard" great movie.

I saw that in the theater back in the day and thought it was pretty good, but haven't seen it since. I better go see if I can find a copy, maybe the local library. Mine has a great selection of DVD's.

When he and his family were still living in Willard, Utah, I stopped there and got gas from him a few times. Before his troubles started...
