Thoughts on garments...

A lot of people say that JS got his idea for the endowment ceremony from freemasonry. My grandfather was a freemason but he died when I was so young it never occurred to me to ask any questions about the organization. However, I did get a hold of his freemasonry book that I found in storage and yes, the endowment ceremony is freakishly compareable to the freemasonry ceremony. How did JS come up with the garments though? There is no talk of this in freemasonry so did he just make that part up on his own or did he pull from another source? I know the LDS explanation, I’m not looking for that.

Joe was reading the 'Adam & Eve' story (or, had someone reading it to him), the thing about A&E not being naked anymore (DARN!) occurred to him...
Someone in the room said: "Hey! that's one more thing we can snooker the gullible followers with"


then, the rest is history!
