Any thought provoking, wise, witty, or funny quotes that have helped you on your way since exiting TSCC?

One of my favorites is: "Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry". Eccl. 8:15

Also, what my pediatrician's nurse said when holding my infant son for the first time, "You're not raising a boy. You're raising a man." (Okay, that's parenting 101. Also fits in the post-Mormon phase!) ;o)

And, "Still waters run deep. Unless it's a mud puddle." (Me at age 9. I still kinda like it.)

Seriously though, It has been my experience that being nice to people is more satisfying than being a jerk to them. And trying to be a positive influence and a force for good in the lives of those in your circle is very gratifying. Much more so than worrying about some pie in the sky "heaven" fairy-tale construct and worrying about if I measure up.

The best word of wisdom I received was someone on this Board (I have to look up to remind myself who said it) and that was that it will get better with:
Time
Space
and Distance.

I chant that to myself every weekend to help myself break the bad habit of thinking about the cult on Sundays. It really helps!!!

That comes close to one of mine, Cl2.
