Penn State Wrestling has the best coach in the country. Cael Sanderson of Heber City, Utah - and yes, he is mormon. 159-0 in college, Olympic Gold and now has Penn state with 7 Championships in 9 years since taking over the position. Before that their last Title was 1953.

You need a holiday to vote??

We in Washington state have been voting by mail for years, it seems to work okay, takes only a few minutes and you don't need to pay the postage.

I personally like the idea of having picture ID to vote, but it's too upsetting and a burden for some people.

Where I live you can't go to garbage dump without a picture id.

I moved back to Utah in June 2015, from Las Vegas. I always voted there and usually there were so few people who came it didn't take long at all. The longest I remember waiting was about 30 minutes one year when it was at the local mall.

When I got to Utah, I think when I signed up for my new Utah Driver License, I was told about Vote By Mail. And ever since, I've been voting by mail, although I do kind of miss going to the polling place; I could still go vote but haven't.

I can't imagine not voting one way or another. And I vote largely so I can vote against the a**hole that I don't support; sometimes I get my way and sometimes not.

Addendum: We've had this discussion before, and yes, Columbus Day remains a federal holiday. Columbus wasn't the first person to "discover" the Americas. He was the last, however, and it stayed "discovered."
