I just had the Easter email message from cult headquarters in Utah. Opening this email my attention was immediately caught by a large and constantly changing one word message flashing “DESPAIR, SICKNESS, ANXIETY, HATRED, DEATH, FEAR, PAIN”. Underneath the message “will die hashtag because of him”. - Just what a strangely formatted message.

But to be clear, Mormon Jesus is certainly not the New Testament Jesus;

Mormon Jesus was born in Jersualem (BoM).

Mormon Jesus is one of many gods living just around the corner from Kolob.

Mormon Jesus is Satan’s Brother.

Mormon Jesus wasn’t crucified the same way as new testament Jesus (Mormon temple ceremony).

Mormon Jesus appeared while levitating in the air to a 19c conman called Smith.

The gospel of Mormon Jesus includes learning plenty of secret handshakes while wearing silly clothing.

No Sir, Mormon Jesus is nothing like New Testament Jesus.

Mormon Jesus? NT Jesus? I’ll pass on both.

I looked for the Jesus of the Gospel of St. Mathew for about 40 years, first in mormonism then elsewhere. Unfortunately I discovered Mathew had never met the guy but did a great job of creating a new ethical version of Christianity. As far as I can tell NT jesus was just as real as Mormon jesus.
