In today's L.A. Times Food section (p. 1), there's a write-up about "a culinary training program for inmates" at San Quentin State Prison. The program is called… get ready for it… "Quentin Cooks."
I am not kidding. It's a real thing. "Quentin Cooks seeks to give men the basic and advanced skills they'd need to land a job in a commercial kitchen."
