Priesthood blessings ALWAYS work. If the recipient of the blessing recovers, it’s proof of the power of the priesthood. If the person dies, it’s proof that god called them home. If they neither die nor improve, it’s god’s will that they be tested. In any case, it’s god’s will miraculously happening before our eyes.

One of the last times I was forced to go to church a pregnant lady with twins passed out during the F&T meeting. The church elders gathered around her and gave her a special blessing. My mom told me she is going to be fine. The church had enough sense to call an ambulance. Medical Science hadn't advanced enough to help with her situation and she and babies passed away. So much for special blessings. I guess blessings and how far science has advanced in treating medical problems go hand and hand.
