The Nauvoo Temple was struck by lightening today. This is not a joke - lightening struck the Angel Moroni and turned it black. Check it out on the web.

But the requisition paperwork got lost in heaven around the same time that the scandal erupted involving Moroni's theft of the golden plates from the heavenly vault and his subsequent disappearance from the angel barracks.

Apparently, they just now found the missing lightning strike requisition order and decided that late was better than never.

Result: One freshly barbecued Moroni statue.

Why do they put the same Moroni on every building? It looks so out of place on the Nauvoo replica.

Interesting...

Same thing happened last month to the relatively new Indianapolis temple. Lightning strike on Moroni and it literally blew his ass off. Wish I had taken a picture!

The Oquirrh Mountain Temple and Bountiful Temple Moronis were also struck by lightening and cursed! Don’t worship them golden idols!

and daughter with CP at the Nauvoo Temple. They were also hit with a lot of flooding in the area. I'm not sure I'll hear anything about it.

Too bad it didn't burn the whole damn thing down.

Cool! He does have a “ black face” now , doesn’t he? Good observation ,guys. I wonder if the church is taking comments now,on his no longer being “ white and delightful”. He’s no wholesome anymore.
