Reading this, I don't know how parents do it. You have to warn your teenagers about so many potential threats nowadays. Protecting kids has gotten a whole lot tougher in the internet age.

"Badass" is a revolting phrase, that sounds as if someone has inadequate personal hygiene.

I was not one of Adam's more ardent fans, nor do I believe you are his more recent incarnation. Regardless, his moniker was the very least of his contemptuousness to most of us. It's your prerogative to remain in the nineteenth century with regard to language, but while I'm hesitant to speak for others here, I will venture a guess that where most of us here are concerned, the term "badass" has nothing whatsoever to do with hygiene.

I'm SOOOOOO glad to hear that that BadAssAdam nut was banned. his presence kept me away for a long time. I never understood why other posters would encourage him.

He was very needy, so I kept trying to work with him for a very long time. But almost without fail, he would turn on virtually every board member who tried to help him. My feeling is, I'm not here to be treated abusively. None of us are. It got to a point where I refused to respond to him anymore. There are only so many personal problems that we can address on the board. He needed to be in the hands of a professional counselor (which thankfully, he was.)

It is true that he had a very distinctive writing style. I think I would recognize it if it were to appear on the board again.
