A quick synopsis of the Book of Mormon (or whatever they are going to call it, seeing how the word “Mormon” can no longer be used). Technically speaking Joseph Smith did not write it, he actually just translated it from an original work.
And it came to pass that by use of a magic rock, or a top hat, or the Urim and Thummim, Joseph Smith translated it into very bad and incorrect King James English from Golden Plates
inscribed in the language of Non Existent Reformed Egyptian written by Babylonian Jews who escaped and crossed oceans in
600 B.C. and whose progeny became the native Indians of the New World except whose skin turned darker because they were not
righteous and did not follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ who personally visited them in the New World during his
resurrection 2000 years ago just before God destroyed millions by earthquake and fire to prove a point no one can define, and
the story tells of many wars and great kings with names like Mormon and Moroni and great Helaman warriors and Ammonites and
Nephites and Lamanites, and it came to pass the people beat their plowshares into swords and mounted their cureloms and
there were many great battles upon the land where millions of people were killed, and the great warrior Kings recorded this
history onto golden plates that were hidden in the ground in Upstate New York until an angel showed Joseph Smith in the
early 1800’s where they could be found conveniently near his family’s farm, except no one else was allowed to see them, and
after the great history was translated the angel took back the golden plates, and it all has to be true because Joseph Smith said it was true. And that’s a fact Jack!
