Just got back from the dentist--all nonMormons and they were discussing the Washington Post article. I was surprised how much they all knew about Mormons but then realized that, hey!, this is SoCal and Mormonism has spread perniciously. Forget the salmonella scare with the romaine lettuce, we got Mormonella that needs a cure.

Anyway everyone had a Mormon story and none of it was nice except they said they had always been led to believe by the Mormons they know that the Mormon church was extremely charitable and were shocked to find it was all a facade.

I hope many across the country feel the same and that this busts open the whole mess with those lying disgusting LDS Mormons.

But I'm not really laughing - the whole thing is tragic - for believers, part-member families, exmos, everybody who ever donated a shekel to them and all the current members and missionaries who are the ones facing the nevermo public - which is not the leaders who are responsible for all of it.

What else I love is that every major news organization has a story going and they all say MORMON. Not an LDS in the bunch except for the SLTribune and any spin coming from that rebranded church itself.

Even at the dentist's office it was Mormon Mormon Mormon. I doubt they even know what LDS is.

and are only supposed supposed to be called members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
