weird ads or psa on H-50 and Blue Bloods last night

About 5 minutes before the end of both these shows last night a very strange couple of announcements/ads/propoganda or ?? came on....black screen...in Hawaii 5-0 it spelled out in caps WHAT SCARES YOU? Then the next black screen in smaller letters it said search for the answer. That's it...no other indication as to who or why this was there. No music, no talking, nothing.

Then, on Blue Bloods, the same thing, only the message was something about the afterlife and the same second screen beseeching me to search for the answer.

Does this sound like the scientologists? or the mormons?

A google search for more information has turned up nothing. I have it on my DVR so I actually have proof of what I saw! Honest!

Frankly, it has creeped me out a little.

I wonder if you watch if on demand that ad will be there.

I don't have on demand any longer, but my boyfriend does. It seems like they change the ads when I watch things on on demand.

Never know who it could be. After all, BYU channel now advertises and, with who, John Legend! I wonder if anyone else on the board saw this.

Is that like streaming? I don't stream anything...just watch on regular directv or record on the dvr if I need to watch it later.

Yes, the ads are different when you use the On Demand feature. As for the strange ads, I'm surprised the network didn't refuse them.

I have one computer who is contacting General Failure and is reading my disk though.

OK, I think I solved this. I believe it is actually a promo for the CBS show called "Evil". Good Grief.

This sounds very similar to the creepy hijacked broadcasts that use to take place 20-30 years ago. The "what scares you" broadcast is a very famous one from back in the day. In it a devil (masked man) appears and gives some strange messages. Sometimes it's about global warming, or other nonsense.

yes seriously, anything that has to do with the strange and mystical and also crypto zoology, and ufology gets my interest. But I think global warming has an agenda.
