One of the elimination round question from last night's episode:

Q: "Male students at Brigham Young University need a doctor's note to grow what?"

The contestant was eliminated after answering "plants", then "children."

A: "A beard"

Confused looks all around.

Mormons think they're the center of the universe but Ellen's audience doesn't know crap about them. Ha.

And to Done and Done, that could very well be. That makes it even more hilarious.

AND they really have to have a note from a doctor to grow a beard? HUH????

Ellen is smarter than the average bear. She knows what the church thinks about her and her gay friends. That was no coincidence.

There should be a disconnect somewhere, right?

They must think that "she's one of the good ones" Right?

No disconnect, IMHO.

Ellen may be out and proud, but she still maintains a level of "decorum" that doesn't offend most of middle America - which in the past several years "accepted" gay people as long as their physical sexuality was kept hidden from public view. Out of sight, out of mind.

It's why 'Will & Grace' was a mainstream hit, while 'Queer As Folk' and 'The L Word' were considered revolutionary and controversial.
