As far back as Oct 1926 mormon prophets have been saying technology has not come by chance or by superior intelligence but the Lord willed it. Even Russell Nelson was quoted saying there could be no organization of the church without it, ne'er even a restoration without it.

So you would think mormons would have some inside track on it? Yet, mormons have been left behind at its every turn and have had about as much special knowledge or faster adoption of it as a grandma learning to use facebook in 2020. Is this not proof to a degree that mormon prophets are not his servants?

Oh I do believe God invented the internet because it has brought many hidden things to light. It has done more to expose mormonism for the fraud it is than ever before. It is now clear for years they have just been copping credit for everything they could get away with even conference talks. It was harder when they could control the information flow and/or blame it on low member IQ (thank you oracle of God!) but now as soon as they say it - it is timestamped, no quitsies, no erasies.

Now revelations can be examined by the entire world, you know like what a real prophet would be held accountable for. Imagine someone on the hook who could be proven false in a minute flat if they weren't receiving God's word. Gosh I would hate to be them. Is it any wonder why we never hear a peep from these so called apostles? Biblical times show God's servants who risked lives not being ashamed of Christ. The most we can expect from these men is not being ashamed of flying coach but even that is a high bar these days.

The most these men can do is shock members with church policy changes. Even look at how it is said the history of LDS.org shows the hand of God. Luckily the prophet held the keys to the domain registry of this last dispensation. Seriously? Even a mattress store could do that. Surely the Lord God will hype nothing without his servants these prophets.

They love Philo Farnsworth. They leave out the parts about him being totally inactive and an alcoholic.

Their church could not exist without logical fallacies.

... and it turned out to be the wrong thing.

Which leaves them stuck on the horns of dilemma!

Either ghawd got it wrong the first time, or he's not the kind of communicator needed for the job.

It is undeniable (when you have the evidence to shove in their faces) that ghawd screwed up with:

1. Plural marriage is forever

2. The Word of Wisdom is just a suggestion

3. Tithing is (fill in the blanks, because there have been so many versions of tithing!). And then they admit that the apostles VOTED to excuse themselves from tithing! I suppose they can say that rather than just telling them, ghawd inspired them to vote and then told them how to vote. I wonder if anyone voted against the proposition to end their tithing obligation?

4. Rich and rewarding local activities, and janitors

5. Foreign missions are three years; no, two and a half; no, LTM and then two years; no, 18 months; no, just two years, start to finish

6. no one ever wrote down the temple ceremony, or at least when it came time to dedicate the St. George temple, no script was available, so everyone, let's get together and put on a play; we can use my dad's barn!

7. Being Gay is no big deal, just keep it to yourselves; no, the Gay is a big deal, whip out the electrodes! Well, Gay is okay, just be Gay, but don't act Gay; we love the Gays when they keep it in their pants!

8. Money talks! Okay, they've stayed true to this principle...

What'd I leave out? What else shows how detail-oriented ghawd is and now he always strives to GET IT RIGHT the first time?

But seriously, there are some wonderful people in the church and it's just a shame none of them will ever get promoted above Stake President. And then there are the women...

Did you know that women used to be a big deal in the church? but that's for another day.

You did leave out the Black issue, but that was years ago. Was JS right or wrong in not giving the priesthood to Blacks in the first place? Or was JS wrong, and God never intended to withhold blessings from Blacks, or was God wrong for not communicating very well (a rock--really?) or was God wrong in accidentally creating more racial discrimination that would boil over? Does God make mistakes? Does a prophet of God make mistakes? Neither! The cult prevaricates and back-pedals, and puts its spin on everything, and "if a lie is repeated enough, it becomes true," No, IT WAS TIME and the Blacks as a race were ready, at last, for God to finally grant them the priesthood. It was all the Blacks' fault, for not being ready/worthy before that. They had to EARN the priesthood. This is still a very racist attitude, IMO.

Oh yeah, I never was satisfied about the Mormon excuses for not giving women the priesthood--they'll never get around that one.

The church had a clerk's office that had 3 people vying to use the sole church computer to do the business of the church.

-The financial clerk had to remit tithing every Sunday. No exceptions! He also had a slew of reports for both the bishop and the stake. He used a ledger and calculator when not granted time on the computer.

-The membership clerk worked on managing the recordation of ordinations and baptisms. 90% of what he was required to do involved making changes in the membership database. Once a month he was required to print out an error report and mail it because changes in the ward's database didn't match the SLC master database.

*The membership clerk was the only person who had any use of the church's TWO business style typewriters.

-The ward clerk was the official overseer of the clerking that was occurring. The work never ceased as there were always reports that needed to be completed. The ward clerk needed access to generate weekly and monthly lists, rosters.

For the TL:DR group

The church had 3 people who needed access to the sole computer and the church decides to bestow a third typewriter to be used in the office. That was the wisdom of the church, they had purchased a glutton of typewriters in the 1990s.

This was 1995 and everybody who had a calling understood that the future in technology was computers-printers with modems and not professional grade typewriters!

Didn't God create the universe without any servants?

Rubicon we no longer teach that.

The universe was created by committee after getting approval from the accountants, legal and PR for what this might do to God's polls in other universes that he had heretofore created.
