How precious. Now my facebook is gonna be littered with inthenameofJesusChristAmen's. Lovely.

I got invited to this by somebody, and it is kind of obnoxious. I like the sentiment behind it (people uniting together to share a common faith). However, I admit I am extremely biased. If it were any other religion it wouldn't annoy me quite so much. So I have elected to keep my mouth shut instead of doing what I REALLY wanted to do. Which was post a new fact about the church every hour on my facebook status. Oh there is so much material....

Which day is this? I'll plan on making myself scarce on Facebook that day. Fortunately most of my friends are pretty liberal Mormon if Mormon at all, but still. I really don't need SM on Facebook. There is a reason i don't go to F&Tmeeting. LOL

because all TBM's on facebook like to show off, and get all of their friends jelous because they are more hollier than you and I. only clean and pure thoughts run through their heads, and that you will go to Hell because you are only apart of groups like ufo's bigfoot and the hamptons social club

Laura Sage sez, "I'm totally about giving support to the men and women who are willing to dedicate their lives to the gospel... I'm just worried that this group will end up looking like some of those obnoxious denominations that wear their religion like a badge. I think I'd rather say something about being grateful for Pres. Uchtdorf's leadership, and not something as precious as my testimony, out there randomly to be trampled on. I share it with people I'm close to, who will respect it the way that I do."

Never mind that she thinks Buttcork's life is dedicated to "the gospel." (God, I hate that phrase.) Would you say she's more embarrassed about being a Mormon, or just more comfortable doing it with other Mormons?

And since when is it OK to say things like that? I was taught that I had to be out there with my testimony, not hiding my light under a bushel or something like that. Not that I took it to heart. Just saying that's what I was taught.

It was a pleasure to respond NO. It's funny how many of our LDS friends won't accept that we just don't believe any more. And this is a sure sign that Mormons have no clue about how they appear to others. They've always gotten positive feedback from Mormons when they bear their testimonkey so they cannot imagine that this will not inspire or impress anyone outside the church. And they really can't see that it makes them look like fools.

I've been involved in a "conversation" that arose out of this. Someone doesn't like the fact that I'm forcing her to say things she doesn't want to say:

"we as mormons are suposed to share our testeamony by the way we live. not shove it down everyones mouth for the day. come one people! dont stoup to the gays level. they shove everything down anyones mouth just to make them be heard. and now were just going to be doing the same thing for ONE DAY! live your lifes as well as you can EVEYDAY and poeple will notice and start respecting the lds poeple."

Not even sure I understand most of what she's trying to say, but what I do gleam through her misfortune of stupidity and lack of cognitive reasoning, she's a bigot.

I can't wait for them to provide an opportunity to shove a pornographic Joseph Smith down their throat.
