I can't say I was a big fan of his music or entertainment but when his restaurants went under I was sad. I could not get enough of his butternut squash or potato salad. I've never been able to duplicate the recipes exactly.
Oh, that is sad to hear. I have many of his tunes on my ipod when I walk around the inside track. When that facility opens back up and we can return to our normal routine, I will be listening to his songs. RIP Kenny
Meanwhile, Neil Diamond just put a video on YouTube where he modified the lyrics to "Sweet Caroline." (Hands... washing hands... reaching out... don't touch me...)
A few years ago he retired from performing when he come down with Parkinsons. His voice is nowhere near what it used to be. It's sad to watch him in such a declined state. I don't know what kind of condition Kenny Rogers was in toward the end, but in a way, I prefer seeing celebrities pass on rather than watching them endure as a shadow of themselves.
That's how it was with my parents. Dying was a better option than living sick and helpless.
