The LDS Church leadership has cultivated a distinctive speaking style that is clearly a part of their corporate branding. I have come to really dislike it.

Listening to its metallic lugubriousness is like being waterboarded, except using motor oil. Somebody should write a sequel to the movie "Get Out", centered around GAs.
