"New Zealand's (ExMormon) Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says that the island nation has defeated — for the present — the coronavirus as her government announced the lifting of some restrictions imposed to halt the spread of COVID-19.

"There is no widespread undetected community transmission in New Zealand. We have won that battle," Ardern said Monday. "But we must remain vigilant if we are to keep it that way."

Asked whether New Zealand had eliminated COVID-19, Ardern replied: "currently."

Why is it tiny nation run by an ExMo woman can defeat Covid-19, with 4 deaths/100k while the richest country in the world, run by Mormon's favorite politician, has the highest number of deaths, 30 deaths/100k population?

I don't know the OP's mindset, but there are those for whom 'intent' is all that matters.

Meaning to do the right thing, no matter how off the mark it is, is all that counts!

Let's not get paralysis of analysis on this issue. The reason is because we had too many Chinese tourists, and too many Americans visiting communist China. The tourists got on the cruse ships and spread their germs all over everyone. Then the people got on the air planes and coughed on everyone else. The only way to stop these super bugs is to close down the borders, build big beautiful walls.

New Zealand faired well because there are less people on the Island. It's practically empty, so social distancing is normal.
