It means Your On Your Own.I got into trouble a few years ago suggesting during real bad times the church wouldn't be able to help everyone like in the past and you should be prepared to go it alone.

When exactly did the church "help everyone like in the past?" Certainly not during the Great Recession.

Guatemalan earth quake in the 70s teams went in to construct free New housing for members. The stake farm system with canneries was set up during great depression. Lds social services would give mental health councilling before it became obsessed with making money with adoptions etc etc

In a very recent crisis "the church" did nothing HOWEVER a couple of my friends who also happen to be Mormon jumped in and saved my bacon.
It became very clear to me that the organization doesn't actually care but some of the members have what I call a Christlike approach and help when they can.
I will be forever grateful to them and I also feel obligated to help other human beings when ever I am able to.
