Who’s ready to invest in discovering Zarahemla? Right after this, I’m gonna enroll at Hogwarts and then have lunch with Batman.

These guys are doing crowdfunding to locate Zarahemla which was "bigger than London in 394 AD" in Iowa!

according to his website, he hasn't raised 10% of his goal yet, so I would say Yes, you can get in on the ground floor.

How convenient. It just happens to be right across the river from Nauvoo.

Kind of like when Joe Smith wanted to settle in Missouri, he discovered that Jackson County was the site of the Garden of Eden, and that a pile of rocks was Adam's altar.

Now amazingly enough, when Joe decided to settle in Nauvoo, it just happened to be across the river from the site of Zarahemla.
Joe was really a prophet, eh.

Wayne May has found his con game taking money from gullible mormons.

My hat is off to Mr. May. He has presented a wall of Jello while hinting strongly that it is really concrete--reinforced with iron rods, no less. He has conjured an illusion with some of the most misleading phrases I have ever seen. There is nothing there that he could be held accountable for saying no matter what happens with this charade. Clever, this. The power of suggestion.

My favorite:
"We are on the verge of something remarkable the world have never before seen."

Is this an admission that even the ancestors of the Native Americans whom he admits were here did not see Zarahemla either? Interesting he only refers to Native Americans as he searches for New London. Nephite and Lamanite have become such an inconvenience as words.

I hope lots of Mormons give him lots of money.

Maybe he'll discover that a singular noun ("world") needs a singular verb (NOT "have never seen")...

Uh oh. It was me got it wrong. He had it right and I couldn't even copy it. I guess now we know who is truly guided by the holy spirit.

"Reinforced with iron rods."

That's very good, D&D!

Being an engineer, I looked at the 10,000 acres across the Mississippi from Nauvoo using Google Maps.

10,000 acres is about 16 sq. mi., or a square 4 miles by 4 miles.

Switching on the terrain feature in google maps, half the area is river bottom land. It easy to see that the river was at one time about 2 miles west of it's current location.

If Zarahemla was at this location 1600 years ago, flooding more than wiped out any evidence.

If I was trying to explore the site, it would be a lot cheaper to rent a large backhoe, get the land owners permission and spend a few days digging a hole.

My guess is that all they would find is river silt and flooding related deposits.

I agree with [|], Wayne May is looking for suckers to give him money.

Carry me back to old Zarahemla.

Oh Danny Boy, the cureloms are calling.

Did someone just mention cureloms?

My prize herd always remains available for pack service in the wild, or individually as entertainment and curelom rides for a children's party.

Just hit reply and "Let Me Know--I'm Curelom Joe."

London in 394 was in an advanced state of collapse.

All while Zarahemla was a thriving myth-to-be!

I'm so amused by this. "Evidence-based"...hilarious!

Somehow, this massive society across the Americas, with horses, chariots, swords and shields made of steel, and a battle near Hill Cumorah that left 230,000 dead (Mormon 6:14)...

left no trace whatsoever!

If this actually happened, there would be massive burial sites with bones and weapons but.....

nothing

I guess it depends on what the definition of evidence is. I mean, there were those rocks that turned out to be the altar of Adam. No way to dispute that, now, is there!

Zarahemla will be found when Wayne May visits his proctologist.

If this wasn't Mormonism, it would be under investigation by the NSA, FBI,CIA, NDC, Joint Chiefs, and the Attornies General of several states & the Federalies ...

But since it's MoRelated, all the above are placing bets on when & where the first indictments will be handed down, whose name is on them, and is Warren Jeffs involved?
