We have been around for 25 years. We transferred control over to Concrete Zipper a few years ago. There has been little site updating other than maintaining the message boards by our dedicated admins. Thanks Admins!!

Out of curiosity I check some site stats on statshow.com Here is a summary:

"exmormon.org rank has increased 63% over the last 3 months. It reaches roughly 160,890 users and delivers about 353,970 pageviews each month.

exmormon.org has 71,900 pages on Google which is a lot."

I am not sure the accuracy of the data. We still reach a lot of folks in any case. It is always a pleasure when alumni stop by and let us know how they are doing.

Even though I'm still fairly new and I may drop off in frequency or activity as time goes by, I will likely always come back no matter how long the gaps between visits. You never forget the folks who were there to talk you through it when you had your first emotional outpourings and ragings about this trauma.

I think I have been here for all those years, first logging in on my old Macintosh Classic. The oldest poster I recall, long gone, was one who posted under the name Her Majesty's Rolls Royce or some such.

I remember back in the days when we only had a couple dozen regular posters. The rough stone be rolling.

I wonder how Surrender Dorothy is. I think about a lot of folks. I miss Curious in Idaho asking for movie rental ideas and posting Yahoo News stories. Curious was a reliable presence, and I feel his absence profoundly.

Me too. I know his name IRL, so I occasionally do a web search for him. Near as I can tell, he's still out there.

I'm a little curious in Idaho sometimes.

I miss so many who were here when I got here and I feel a very special bond. The sharp Kolobian, the hysterical and deep Raptor Jesus, Anagrammy the sage, and so many more, including she of the tall tales, Misty (is that the one?) even though all the wild stories turned out to be "truthy" haha.

I rarely drop in here for the past 9 years.

But when I do, I always google exmormon to get here. Just to do a small part of having that term bring up this site in the results.

I resigned from mo-ism 15 or so years ago. Never looked back. Temporarily attended a few other churches, but I'm over that, and for now, anyway, I don't miss it.

I stay in the RfM community because I love who we are! So many well-informed and articulate people!! Hardly a day goes by when I don't learn fascinating things from so many of you.

Thanks to Eric for founding the community, and to CZ and the current mods for maintaining it.

Although I'm a nevermo, I totally agree, Catnip, and you put it so nicely :-)

"I stay in the RfM community because I love who we are!"

Eric:

Nice to hear from you. I've been on here since 1997, not always consistent, but always nice to see that the site is thriving.

I was in Houghton not too long ago and thought of you.

I've been on long enough to know first hand about lives that have been saved through it.

Being fresh out of the cult those meet ups were so liberating and to meet fellow exmos from all over the planet was affirming.

I hope this forum hangs around for at least another five years and maybe ten more?

I have been reading and posting here since 1998, when I wanted to know more about the cult that my child had entered. I still write to Anagrammy and Msmom, as I met them in person long ago. They do not post much, but I keep up with one of them on Facebook. Miss Kimba too.

I pop in now and then to see who's still about. I find the usual suspects and am happy this board is still active! It certainly helped me when I needed what it offered.

Thanks, Eric, et al.

I am recovered.

:D
