Mormonism just can't bear the thought that there ain't gonna be no end times.

Can you imagine how earth-shattering it would be if the G-15 at the next General Conference that the End Times was just a fantasy and that we needed to shift our focus to simply making the world a better place with no thought of an Armageddon or any sort of finality to it all? The members' heads would just explode.

Yep. It would prove that the G15 and their predecessors have never had any prophetic abilities and hence that their legitimacy is illusory.

That would be the end of the church.

The thing he finds repulsive about religion, especially monotheistic messianic religion is that:
