Don't forget the Bundys. They've been violating federal laws and endangering people for years. If the church is serious about sustaining government, it has to come to terms with Ammon and The Halfwits.
Considering at least one past "prophet" was a John Bircher, I would agree with that assessment. May even be more. Living in Idaho, I can say that a majority of my family (and neighbors) fit into that category. It's all about the money (and power) for TSCC though. The members are just sheep to be fleeced.
Agreed. But I do like to see the church pulled in opposite directions by liberal and conservative Mormons. There is a significant risk that the rubber band will break sometime in the coming years.

One can always visit the cemetery near Franklin, Idaho where ET is buried and piss on his grave.
At times wnen you are there folks have left American flags and even some of his books.
I live within walking distance of SL city hall, the Moss Federal Building, the federal courthouse and the UT state Capitol. I admit to being nervous. If they play the church card to tamp down emotions, I say god bless and good luck.

Sure, all you need is $100 billion dollars, claim to be a prophet, seer, and revelator, and be "sustained as such" by 8 million Americans (or maybe 3 million who really think of themselves as Mormons, and that's on a good day).
