I mean wow! This is amazing. Dark matter proves Joseph Smith a prophet???

Smith foresaw a middle ground between the secular, atheistic materialism and here is how.

“By arguing that only the physical is real,” he writes, “and that the divine is physical in ways that we can only glimpse in this world, Mormon metaphysics actually has some advantages over more traditional metaphysical schemes that emphasize the immateriality of the divine. Most significantly, Mormonism can address directly and sympathetically the question of materialism that lies at the heart of modern atheism. … The case can be made that the most serious alternative to fundamentalism and Catholicism in terms of having the resources to turn back the tide of modernity is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”
https://www.deseret.com/2015/8/13/20570051/materialism-isn-t-what-it-used-to-be

One only need to..."Consider, too, the new world discussed in Richard Panek’s 2011 book “The 4 Percent Universe: Dark Matter, Dark Energy and the Race to Discover the Rest of Reality”: Only 4.56 percent of our universe, which seems to have originated in an inconceivable explosion roughly 13.75 billion years ago, is “baryonic matter.” That's the matter that we know, the matter that we can often see and sometimes touch, the stuff of which stars, planets, mountains, pine trees, Porsches, buildings and kittens are made. The rest of the universe, we’ve only recently discovered, is “dark matter” (22.7 percent) and “dark energy” (72.8 percent) — figures that, Panek writes, offer “an exquisitely precise accounting of the depth of our ignorance.” “Dark matter” and “dark energy” cannot be seen but only indirectly detected, and we don’t really know what they are."

One can only imagine how connected theologically Mormons are to the greats of science and how they can even add more good to secular materialism kinda like Hinckley suggested.

“Let me say that we appreciate the truth in all churches and the good which they do. We say to the people, in effect, you bring with you all the good that you have, and then let us see if we can add to it. That is the spirit of this work. That is the essence of our missionary service” (meeting, Nairobi, Kenya, 17 Feb. 1998).

Dark matter is good and so let Mormonism add to it!

Note: this is sarcasm.

Since we don't even know that dark matter and dark energy are really matter and energy, I wish they had been named Fred and Ethel. Or Ed and Trixie (Norton). Or we could have gone all Shakespearean, and called them Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.

Kip Thorne, astrophysicist from Logan, UT, would have been the perfect blending of modern physics and Mormonism. He dumped Mormonism. I see that as a bad sign for the future of Mormonism as religious icing on the cake of modern science.

Edit to add: yeah, yeah, too WaD-centric (White and Delightsome). In the interest of cultural diversity, how about Yin and Yang. Or Pho and Bun.

Apparently there are different flours involved.

Edit: fixed my grammar.

I need to study up on dark matter—-dunno why, but I love the whole cool, dark, vacuous idea of it.

But, maybe not so vacuous.

In noodling around with the numbers, trying to get them to fit, as well as trying to get them to play nice with each other, I have had some success by introducing two humanistic concepts into the complex song of the orbs. They are

1)   Time-out    -> symbol   ꙰

2)   Lost & found-> symbol    ꙲

Using these two concepts, 'Time-out' and 'Lost & Found', I have been able to get my equations to, as I stated, balance on the head of pin and to play nice with each other.

For instance, I now feel safe in opining that Dark Energy won't matter one singularity bit if antimatter is 68.7% AntiDark Energy.

C'mon! If there is antimatter 'everything else', why wouldn't there be antiDark Energy and antiDark Matter? I think it's as clear as the masked nose on my Covid-fearing face.

I'm going to be so embarrassed if The Cat starts quoting me to you guys! Kaku will have a fit!!

It does on the Matterhorn, from whose summit you can on a good day see the Great Attractor!

Dark matter isn’t really dark. It’s illuminated by the light of Kolob. Kind of like a TBM’s bung hole.
