Scientists at CERN discovered exactly as much anti-matter exists as matter, which means we shouldn’t exist and they don’t know why we do if so. If you figure out why/how we exist in a world half full of anti matter, you deserve a Nobel Prize!

Listening to your idol, I did not hear him agree that matter & anti-matter exist in equal amounts. He kept saying that anti-matter is rare.

That isn't even what is claimed.
Starting at about the 2:14 point, Kaku talks about the CERN experiment. What CERN discovered is that anti-hydrogen has exactly the same properties as hydrogen. They were hoping there would be some asymmetry in the properties that could explain why there is more matter than anti-matter. That wasn't found.

They did not discover that there is as much anti-matter as matter.
