Mind blowing!
Scientists found a frozen rock covered in ice on its way to Earth, full of the ingredients for life.
Perhaps the Earth started out like this,
And evolved over billions of years,
And the genius unfolded
From the spiraling rock
Collecting water and stardust
Like sand on a beach
And when these asteroids
Full of the ingredients of life
Land in our oceans with DNA in them,
Life finds a way to evolve
Or has for the past 4billion years.
Uninterrupted
On Earth alone

Carrying all the ingredients for life.

Yes! Let us consider motivations!!

You were motivated to post what you did, Sr. Cat.

Might not the ineffable ziller also be subject to motivations regarding his response?

Sure.
Everybody is welcome to comment, even if their comments are just stupid, like 99.9% of Ziller’s comments.

The term "organic" just means carbon based. I am organic.

you just say that because you are a silicon-based life form.

hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, because it is the easiest to form from subatomic particles.

Star formation only requires that gravity always be true, or real.

Other elements exist because of fusion inside of big ass stars that tend to explode within several hundred million years and spill their chemically-rich guts across the local sector.

Carbon is the best bang for your buck when it comes to a simple element (meaning it is common enough) with the most reactivity with other elements (meaning most complex molecules will be "organic," or made of carbon).

The "ingredients for life" are not that rare, and it's not a mystery where they came from either. Life might be as common as the fungi here on earth: it gets started wherever conditions are right.

The earth's surface wasn't cool and hard for one or two hundred million years with liquid water on its surface before the first life appeared. Life got started almost immediately.

What's amazing about these facts is that fundamentalists can turn their noses up at them with such flaunted conviction when the truth is staring them right in their faces.

All true. Yes, the fundamentalists have an amazing capacity for self delusion. I know I did when I was Mormon.

but in reality, we all have a huge blind spot.
There's only so much we can really handle of reality, before it fries us like a bug under a magnifying glass.
We can't handle ultraviolet light very well, or infrared.
The rainbow in between is all we want to see.

But the cosmos favors life. Right?

Obviously. Otherwise we wouldn’t be here.

If a wildfire of the sort that has plagued Australia and parts of the US swept through a town and destroyed all but one building, would you conclude that forest fires are pro-building?

If an antibiotic kills 99.999% of germs, do you conclude that the antibiotic is in fact pro-biotic?

If a 5'3" basketball player achieves success in the NBA, do you conclude that the sport is made for 5'3" people?

You are interpreting a statistically insignificant anomaly not as *proving* the rule but of *being* the rule. That is nonsensical.

No, it’s reality.
The reality is that life has not only existed on Earth for the past 3.5billion years, almost from the beginning of the age of the Earth, it has evolved, and adapted in response to those calamities and disasters. And the life that had survived, like the tardigrade, has grown stronger. And here we are billions of years later, still here, despite all the incredible odds against it.
Bottom line is, no matter how bad life might seem to any one individual, life goes on and the universe strikes a balance, with or without us.

Again, you contradict yourself. If the cosmos favors life, it does not "strike a balance, with or without us."

So asteroids are God’s wads?

Or, life could have started here, as it likely started in many other places in our universe.

True, life could have started here, but all the ingredients could have come from off earth. NASA’s Stardust mission collected amino acids, necessary for proteins in RNA/DNA formation, from the tail of a comet.

https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn17628-found-first-amino-acid-on-a-comet/

Also, Russians have discovered sea plankton and ‘other microorganisms’ on the ISS.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.space.com/amp/26888-sea-plankton-space-station-russian-claim.html

Not to mention Tardigrades, which can survive pressures 6x’s greater than anything on Earth, meaning they must have evolved that ability somewhere other than Earth.
That and 18.5% of their DNA is ‘foreign’ which is twice as much as any other species. Meaning the derive an exceptionally large amount of their genetic makeup from their environment. Through gene transfer, between retro-viruses and tardigrades.

Does SL Temple have Dinosaur murals?
I’d think I would have remembered that.
But I only went through it once. It’s like the black box in Mecca for Mormons, but the Mormons dressed theirs up wedding cake style and Muslims dress their mosques up onion style.
I wonder what they will paint over the Dinosaur Murals, the inside of Plato’s Cave?
