I find it funny how unhappy Mormons come up with any excuse to justify their unhappiness and try to prove ex Mormons aren’t happy. Try smiling and being happy.
I know this isn't real but on the subject of "ex-Mormons can't be happy" look up cult behavior and mind control. That phrase is specifically used to create dependency upon the cult and its leaders and create a fear response to having doubts and possibly being led away.
It's useful to refute the old phrases only insofar as you're able to assert for yourself what is real and let go of what the brainwashing instilled. Like, you recognize that ex-Mormons can be happy and that phrasing used by church leaders and members is a trick and a tool that no longer has power over you.
Offense isn't *always* the best defense. Sometimes it's just plain old offensive.
You are a sad little lady no matter how much you claim to be otherwise. The phrase, "Me thinks thou dost protest too much" was custom made for just you.
