"A Cumberland man allegedly killed his brother and sister-in-law in their Ellicott City home last week because his brother, a pharmacist, administered COVID-19 vaccines, according to charging documents filed Wednesday in a Howard County court.

Jeffrey Burnham told his mother he had to confront his older brother, Brian Robinette, because he was poisoning people by administering the COVID-19 vaccine, telling his mother, “Brian knows something,” according to the new charging documents filed against Burnham.

Burnham is being held without bond in Allegany County, where he is charged with stabbing Rebecca Reynolds, 83, to death inside her Cumberland home on Sept. 29. Police said he took her car and fled to Ellicott City, where a day later he killed Robinette, 58, and his wife Kelly Sue Robinette, 57. He faces first and second-degree murder charges in the couples’ deaths.

Burnham, 46, was captured last week in West Virginia following an 18-hour search. ..."

Too many people being radicalized by conspiracy theories and it is raging.

Not just that, but 5 school shootings in the last seven days.

And the Columbine Obsessed Subculture is going strong. Mostly girls with crushes on the shooters and others glorifying them.

Thank you social media. Thank you whoever started the term Fake News so that so many people knew to get the real news on Twitter and Facebook. You have done the country a great service.

I am so sick of glorified willful ignorance.

Pennsylvanians aren't usually that stabby. Maybe there's something wrong with him.

Nobody is usually that stabby. That's why you get arrested and jailed for doing it. It's outside the window of acceptable behavior.

There are more than a few people that agree with the anti-vaxxer that somehow the vaccine is "poison", but know better than to act on their delusion. I imagine Burnham sees himself as more courageous than the other people who think like him.

Maybe there is something wrong with him. Maybe it is not just him. That's for the court to sort out.

I see Burnham and his ilk as having believed the social media press of his own--the antivaxxers-- to such an extent that he was sure he would be received as a hero. I see those whose who stormed Congress in the same boat. They had listened to themselves for so long all it took was a nudge. Their gleeful actions in the Congressional offices and on the pulpit point to their foregone conclusion that they were conquering White Knights.

All the while the rest of their group knew better than to act on their convictions which oddly means that those committing the crimes were the ones with the "courage of their convictions."

So messed up.

Nephi got away with it. Laban's servant even played along. Maybe he didn't like his boss that much anyway.

Kidding aside, it’s awful that those people were murdered. There is some serious mass hysteria out there.

If you want to live in a world of conspiracy theories and lies, fine.

But you don't have the right to endanger the lives of others because you want to live in a world of lies.

The catch is that it is quite likely that the killer thought his brother was living in a world of conspiracy theories and lies, and was endangering the lives of others by vaccinating them. Therefore he was justified in killing his brother to protect other lives.

That's the downside of becoming too detached from reality. It is possible to justify anything. As D&D pointed out above, the Jan 6 insurrectionists by and large fully expected to be greeted as heroes, not charged with felonies and thrown in jail awaiting trial. This clown apparently had a similar thought process.

I'm sure that the man's lawyer will attempt an insanity defense. I wonder if he will get it.
