it is hard to grasp the gullibility of the "true believer"
Two of the testifiers did so amid tears
The rest had little to say and each only wasted 3 or 4 minutes doing it

Surely you jest.
I go because I percieve that at this point it is in my best interest to do so.
I sit still and don't talk

You saw right through me, I was joking. Why would you go to a church meeting? Can you find an Anyway meeting to go to?

Is this the Utah equivalent of a visit to a comedy club?

It's more like an AMWAY meeting.

Does anyone stand up and testify to the truthfulness of the restored inventory of LuLaRoe and the inspiration of CEO Mark Stidham?

All the blubbering made F&T pure torture for me even as a child...even when my convert mother was the one causing the spectacle. I didn't even know the meaning of the word phony, but there it was...front and centre.

especially when I came here to read and found out what many mormon families are like 'deep down.' We were the outcasts of the ward. I always thought we were the dysfunctional family. Then I grew up. My family didn't bear their testimonies including ME, who was the most devout in the family. We like to stay in the shadows and don't like attention in any fashion. I'd go to church and wait by the closet and then when I could, I'd go in and sit down. After "he" left, I would go late and sit on the sofa and leave before SM was over.

So we weren't those who bore our testimonies. I understand my daughter is different than that. I hear it from neighbors or see it on fb. He dad was that way, so she got it from him. DEFINITELY NOT ME. I always thought my beliefs were very personal and not to be broadcast. I find S&M obnoxious, but then most of it was.

In the singles ward, I heard many an insane testimony. The bishopric wives would sit at the back on those Sundays.

I'm sure my daughter probably bore her testimony yesterday and I DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT! Her husband wouldn't. He's more like her twin brother and I. So is the rest of his family.
