An Evangelical Christian man claims that he photographed an "angel with a flaming sword" standing over his truck. Apparently, the angel commanded the man to "take additional wives, including teen girls and the wives of other men" without the knowledge or permission of the other men, or the man will be "destroyed" (i.e. by the flaming sword). Yes, there is film.

Maybe the flaming sword idea is a thing guys look for in their story-telling explanations? It makes the weapons extra special.

As the truck is lit and in full-color - note the taillights, it's clear that this image is not taken with the camera's infrared mode (which would be b/w, not false-colored).

Accordingly, there has to be a light source - probably from a security light - and it's pretty obvious that the "flaming sword" is the gutter of the outbuilding reflecting the same light source.


Moreover, that it's the gutter is absolutely clear from the other less widely distributed picture - also in the video from Inside Edition - where the, ahem, "angel" flies away, leaving its gutter-sword behind.



I'll go with folks who lean toward a moth and pareidolia being the culprit behind this 3½-year-old non-mystery.

I like how the first explanation many people jump to is supernatural, when the most obvious and more likely explanation is fraud.
