I have always considered criminal trials in Utah to be odd and totally baffling. If the person looks like a mormon and talks like a mormon they will get a lower sentence. If some kind of clue is given to the judge or the jury that the defendent is not a TBM mormon, he or she will get the book thrown at them with tough sentencing. I would never want to go on trial in Utah.

The fact that the 2nd anointed and their spouses consider themselves above the rule of law explains a lot.
