Today is the final 21st day of the 21st year of the 21st century.
Seems significant.
Should be more than just another ordinary day.
So far, disappointing.
Same old same old here. Other than it's snowing. Sure brought my Christmas prep to a grinding halt. I don't like driving in snow. I should have foreseen it but I didn't. Some things can't be done too far ahead. Not that I'm doing much, for several reasons. I don't even mind being snowed in, if that happens. But I'd like to have my Christmas goodies before then. Turkey dinner too, as I missed it at Thanksgiving (sloppy planning).
If I don't get a turkey dinner this time I'll really feel sorry for myself. Unjustifiably really because things could still be a lot worse. Not that I want to tempt fate by saying that too loudly.
But. I like my snow to come *after* I've been shopping and am all snuggled in with my rum and eggnog and mince tarts. My blood sugar spikes just at the thought!
Anyway, whatever happens happens, as my low-key brother always says, which I usually find frustrating but now I get it more. If I can't get out to my favourite shops oh well I won't starve. And there's always New Year's weekend.
This post started being about 21 21 21 and then it gravitated to Christmas. The 21 thing is intriguing. Christmas more immediately front of mind.
Meanwhile, happy happy and merry merry to everybody.
