Except the church doesn’t say anyone has to fill out a bunch of paperwork or call their bishop. They do imply that the bishop may call you, but as often as not, that doesn’t happen.
Sadly true. But it’s the same in every other church. The only way to be heard if you are poor is a dramatic gesture like the Buddhist priest’s self-imolation.
