I loved Meat Loaf.

or is it Meatloaf? His song "Two out of Three Ain't Bad" came out the summer I was dating my boyfriend so very many years ago and let him go. He's been back 17 years now. It was 27 years between when we dated in our 20s.

So his music brings that time in my life all back. It was a really good time in more ways than dating my boyfriend.

I've read in several sources that his vax status is unknown. What he was speaking out about, apparently, was "vaccine mandates" as well as some COVID measures (types of masks etc).

If he refused to get vaccinated, he was already at a greater risk of dying from Covid due to his obesity, and here it sounds like that's what happened. It's sad as I did like his music.

I was never even remotely interested in his music, but it is sad he left. I've read his vaccine status is not known, but if he was an anti-vax type, the result is hardly surprising. An obese person, with past serious heart issues, aged 74 during this pandemic; what did you expect?

Steinman and Meat Loaf created joke music, but you had to be in on the joke. Many fans found it hilariously entertaining, this Wagnerian operatic rock that parodied teenage angst.

The genre was an incredibly difficult sell, but it paid off big. That determination to push it through is more impressive than the music.
