I heard the podcast from Dhelin on mormon transhumanist.

Shocking that smart, educated people can take a position paper approach to falsehoods:

"Yeah, racism, non-inspired prophets,lies, child abuse, destruction of families, exploitation of women, bigotry...but robots dude!"

I've know Carl Youngbood since HS and he is one of the rare people I know that is smart enough to out-smart himself. Still doing it.

So what is Mormon transhumanism, and who is Carl Youngblood, and in what sense is he "too clever by half?" (I love that British phrase, and it seems to fit perfectly with your description!)

I don't want to speak for them, but the mormon transhumanists are people who are rather exited for technology changing human interactions. They will admit mormonism is mostly made up except for anything alluding to the future, space, god being a scientists, and robots.

You can look them up. They have meetings and memberships. Its a way for educated people to pretend their adherence to mormonism is excusable.

So anything the church was in the past doesn’t matter and where it’s going in the future does. Sounds about like President Nelson’s continuing restoration concept.

A mormon transhumanist should be willing to show off their emitter, collector, and base.
