Greetings fellow exmos!

It has been a year since our last fund raiser and our account with the ISP has run dry, so it's time to do it again. I will admit: we hate to ask for money but the cost realities of hosting, bandwidth, etc. require us to occasionally request donations.

The site costs about $2500/year to operate, and our goal this time around is to raise two years worth of funding or $5000.

Please use the Paypal donation button you can see by scrolling to the bottom of the home page: https://www.exmormon.org

(Note: The Paypal site has Eric's name on it, as well as RfM. For those of you who haven't been here that long, Eric founded exmormon.org and set up the Paypal site. Paypal has changed its identity rules recently so it now puts the person's name up front. Please be assured that Eric gets none of the money donated here. 100% of the finds will go to our ISP to pay for the cost of running the site.)

You can use a credit card or your Paypal account (if you have one). If you want to pay by check or money order, you can send that directly to our ISP:

Wingnet
P.O. Box 2605, Cleveland, TN, 37320
Make sure to write "For exmormon.org" in the memo field so that they know to credit it to us.

No one is required to donate. This is strictly voluntary and we're not going to push anyone into doing it. If you're broke, then don't worry about giving your "widow's mite". The site does need money, but not badly enough to harm a donor. However, if you do have the money and you feel that the world is better with exmormon.org up and running, then a donation would be greatly appreciated. If you happen to be feeling flush, dig deep! Last time we got enough for one year and we'd like to make it two this time.

Imagine how the community here has helped you through the Covid crisis. Plus, exmormon.org is cheaper than Starbucks and waaaay cheaper then tithing. And think of the leverage your donations here enable against the church! How many dollars of tithing money has Exmormon.org deprived Mormonism of for every dollar donated here? I don't know, but it's a fun thing to think about.

Remember that no one in our administrative/moderator cadre gets paid for their work. We are strictly volunteers. All of the donated money goes to paying expenses involved in running the site.

We will post an anonymized list of donations as they come in. We will also pull down this request as soon as we have reached our goal.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity!

CZ (who loveth a cheerful giver, and all exmos)

OK, I removed the link in the post. The Paypal link is a little more complicated than I initially assumed.

Everyone: please use the link on the home page. Thanks!

Please keep donating. We haven't raised enough for half a year yet, let a whole year and nowhere close to the goal of two years.

If you can afford it, the site needs it.

Thanks!

Giddy with excitement, Sunbeep waits for the prelude music to begin. He slowly struts up a side isle to the front of the chapel, stops, turns, and with donation envelope held aloft, he strolls across the front of the congregation to the far side.

After climbing up the three rostrum steps, Sunbeep slowly turns to face the congregation still holding the envelope tightly in his scrawny fingers. He scans the congregation to make sure everyone is watching him.

With dedicated determination he saunters over to the men in suits and scans the audience once more. You know, just to make sure his gesture is seen by many.

With a waving gusto the envelope is offered up and delivered to one of the three men.

Sunbeep sashays over to the podium, pauses briefly, and with his nose held high, continues to the other side of the rostrum where he gently descends back down the three steps.

The prelude music is lovely, the congregation exhibiting extraordinaire reverence, and a few more dollars have been donated to a most worthy cause.

After a slow walk to the rear of the chapel, this pious humble servant takes a seat on the back row, next to his stack of scriptures and hymnal. A faint smile creeps across his face.

Yes, a worthy cause indeed.

RfM has been with me for two decades. I used to hide my being here like it was porn. Now I tell my wife about it. It has been something for which was literally a life saver and my contributions are paltry in comparison to the support so many here have given me.

Here's to a 2022 with it in the world and many more twenty something's into the future.

And you can't beat the price. It's an interesting comment on society that $100 billion and a few thousand per year are doing such different things to the hearts and minds of the children of earth.

May RfM go forth and prosper.

It's not over yet. We still haven't gotten to our one year point of $2500, let alone our two year goal of $5000.

As of this weekend we were at $1850. Thank you to all who have donated so far!

For those of you who haven't donated yet, now is the time. If we don't reach our one year amount, we will end up doing another fundraiser in 9 months instead of 12. Please donate now if you can.

Thanks!

I would be remiss if I didn't stand this morning and share my testimony of the exmo board. I know the board is true and will give my time and talents to it's noble cause.

We are at $1600 in Paypal. I believe $400 was sent directly to Wingnet via credit card and a check. So altogether $2000.

Thanks

I will check with Wingnet. I just got an invoice and it appears there was little direct contribution to them unless they misplaced it. I will find out on Monday.

My 200 check has not cleared at my bank yet. I know things like that take longer nowadays with slower mail and people working from home, etc. I'll keep watching.

Thanks for the update.
