There is no RLDS anymore. They ran out of male offspring of Joseph Smith to be prophet. They were also short on money. So they joined the National Council of Church's and changed their name to Community of Christ. They are the most liberal of the Joseph Smith based religions.
I ran into a RLDS Guy yesterday who was RLDS before they got absorbed into Community of Christ. He didn’t like that they ‘caved into the liberals’ so he got out and now he just goes around trying to convince ExMos that Joseph didn’t practice polygamy, that was all on Brigham! He also insisted the Earth was flat and space is fake news. When I told him I trust NASA Scientists. he told me he used to believe me until God woke him up.
Lol
I told him he lost me at ‘God’
And blocked him.

Yeah I think females can hold the priesthood. I know one of their apostles is openly gay. It’s a lot more loose and less regulated than the other LDS church’s.
I just watched the preview. It says coming out in June, but I could swear I've seen all of that before. Perhaps they're re-using a lot of existing video and/or covering the same topics (of course).
Easy. Cult leaders are not ingenious masters of manipulation: these are simply exploiting an ingrained feature of the machine. So clueless i thought: phenomenal that it isn't universal - until realizing there are shades of this everywhere in mass movements (and autocratic regimes including faiths) today. See for yourself. Multiple recent news accounts attest. The pattern recurs again and again.
To know the vulnerability protects one against exploitation, but the question remains: How did it come to be
What most people don't understand, this is not polygamous marriage. Anybody can marry you, clergy, friends and even Elvis impersonators. You have to get a state marriage license to make it legal. All the "wives" are getting welfare because they are a single mom with children. The FLDS is nothing more than welfare fraud by a bunch of pedophiles posing as a religion.
