An elderly TBM grandparent just died of COVID after contracting it from attending a wedding. (2nd time it’s happened in the last year with this family).


Now they’re contract tracing on Facebook like friggin idiots: “Who came sick?” “Who didn’t mask up?”


Idiots. And this woman had 6 kids. Not one warned her that she’s in a high risk group? And that going to the backwoods for a wedding in Wyoming where people are loosey goosey with science is stupid?

    One assumes that those asking the questions are looking to pin some blame...

    Why not just let ghawd sort it out? As good mormons, they should be loving everyone else like they love themselves.

    ...of course loving others as you love yourself all too often generates restraining orders...  "I'm not a creep, just too Christian!" doesn't work as a defense; or at least it hasn't so far.

Religion trumps science if you have enough faith. This Facebook group should be asking who wasn't doubting their doubts.

I have Covid right now. Fortunately I’m also double boosted so fortunately it’s just been a few days of a bad cold.
I’ve had a lot worse colds.
Actually caught it from my Boss, who made 4 of us sick.

There are lots of positive uses in terms of keeping up with friends and family, alumni groups, hobby and interest groups, etc. But you have to strictly control who you associate with and follow.

Yes, I agree. I just think that the net effect of Facebook has been social polarization and the undermining of democracy--that's the inevitable effect of the business model--and that those disadvantages should not be forgotten.

People can carry and transmit Covid without looking or feeling sick. I know of young people where this has been the case.

At a certain point, personal responsibility comes into play. Grandma should have been current on her vaccines and boosters, masked up, or maybe even considered staying home altogether.

One of the witch hunters, Facebook contact tracers is a nurse.

I think she’s the niece.

But she bought her unvaxxed baby to this wedding too.

Several of the family are sick now.
