Is this a new version of Deseret Book or a totally different store? The Deseret Book store I went to in a local shopping center to get the KSL calendar at Christmas is gone, which surprised me.

I'm thinking lavender would be a nice color for our beloved EOD although blush pink is a close second.

You should see what Deseret Book has.

Besides much lower prices, they have journal editions, with "trendy" covers and wider margins, for those who write too big to fit their inspired notes in the regular margins.

There are also stickers, and special highlighter pens for scriptures.

My plain old faux brown leather quad is around here somewhere. Or did I put them in the recycle bin?

I wonder what Deseret Book did with their copies of the BoM when the wording was changed from “white and delightsome” to “pure and delightsome.” Did they mark down the price, or did they shred them?

Recently, my elderly mom was told to get with the program and ditch her giant quad and go virtual. I'm the good apostate son who got her a tablet and set up the church apps so she wou,d fit in with the ward. Surprised that a store is pushing printed versions when the church is pushing its virtual versions of its scriptures.

Regarding colors. They used to corner you if you brought a white temple color. You were reminded that white was reserved for your temple set and not to bring them. ok colors sanctioned by the q15 were black, dark blue and tan. One sister was openly rebuked because she made homemade covers. Leaders called them too worldly.

Finally, every member had an opinion about marking scriptures. I was told to stop vandalizing verses with red pencils and highlighting. Then some members p-urchased art work stickers that was layed over verses. We had a stake councilor rattle about the evils of such nastiness.
